What's an achievement outside your work that you're particularly proud of?: Although I can't take all the credit for her greatness, I'm mom to an incredibly kind, smart, funny, and amazing teenager.
What's one interesting fact about yourself that not many people know?: I took a year off of work in my 30s to travel around the world with my partner. We visited 24 countries and returned to Calgary exactly (to the hour) one year later, minutes before our round-the-world plane tickets expired. Thankfully there weren't any flight delays! We offset the emissions of that entire trip with renewable energy credits (RECs) when we returned.
Does your business make any social or environmental impacts that are personally important or significant to you? Why?: All of the impacts my business makes are personally important to me because creating a world that works for everyone has always driven me. One of the most enduring commitments I have made is supporting renewable energy. I started purchasing 100% green electricity from Bullfrog Power when they launched in Calgary in 2007. Over the course of our relationship, I have prevented the emissions of 26.27 tonnes of C02.
